Description: This time we will tackle what is perhaps the mother of all disturbing stories in the Tanach, that of David and Batsheva. David, after seeing a beautiful woman bathing on the rooftop, sends her husband, Urriyah, to the front lines with instructions to abandon him to the enemy. Once dead, David marries Urriyah's widow, Batsheva. Out of this marriage eventually comes King Solomon. We are all familiar with this story. Was David guilty of murder? If so, why was he himself not put to death? We will tackle this and other fascinating issues in the next installment of "Disturbing Stories in the Tanach".
