➠ If Aviv (almost ripe) barley IS FOUND in the land of Israel during this month, then the next new moon (expected to be visible on Friday 20 March 2026) will mark the beginning of the First Month of the new Biblical year.
➠ If Aviv barley IS NOT FOUND in the land of Israel during this month, then the current year will be intercalated (an extra month will be added to it) and the next new moon will mark the beginning of the Thirteenth Month of the current year, while the First Month of the new Biblical Year will begin on the following new moon, which is expected to be Saturday 18 April 2026.
